St Kilda Shule
St Kilda Shule has been servicing the Orthodox community since 1871 and after two other buildings, moved into its current iconic building in 1927. In 2015, the Shule undertook its most significant restoration of the building since 1927 with repairs to the leaking dome, installation of heating and air conditioning and a repaint throughout. Funds from this raffle will assist in covering the $138,000 shortfall of the $800,000 restoration project after a capital works appeal raise most of the necessary funds. The Shule precinct including the Adele Southwick Centre of the Samuel Meyers Hall and the Danglow Centre are used daily and have become popular venues for tourists (with daily tours), weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs and conferences, seminars, concerts and other performances. A thriving membership of over 1300 members, funds from the raffle will help see us well into the future.
